Summertime is here and it's time to fire up the grill.  Whether you prefer classic burgers and hot dogs or kicking it up with some Kansas City style BBQ, the presentation will have your guests coming back for more.

The vintage Americana theme gets us feeling patriotic and reminds us of Memorial Day, Fourth of July  and baseball team parties.  We didn't skimp on quality and chose pieces that can live comfortably in your home long after the party is over.

The extra tall metal flower bucket is made from a heavy galvanized steel and the iron handle gives it substance. If you love having a fresh bouquet of flowers in the house, then this bucket will be a staple for every season.

We couldn't decide what we liked more, the table runner with its big tassels or the gingham check table cloth with stars.  You have a choice.

The hammered copper pan has unlimited potential.  We filled it with individual bags of chips for an easy grab-and-go side and then came up with a full list of functionally fun ideas.  From ears of roasted corn-on-the-cob piled high to jalapeno cornbread with spiced honey butter, this pan will deliver.

The vintage flair was inspired by the drink cooler.  Its barn wood box and galvanized steel liner makes the perfect center piece.  It can keep 12 - 18 drinks chilled and could even make a great planter.  The wooden spool riser and the rustic serving trays are the perfect compliments.

Here are a few recommendations on what to add to your party:

  • Flowers:  The flower bucket is substantial.  It can easily hold two large bouquets.  Of course, we loved pairing this party with sunflowers surrounded by baby's breath.
  • Plates and Utensils:  You'll want to pull this set out multiple times.  Add on a few sets of the coordinating 9" melamine plates which wash up nicely for the next party or can be used every day.  Wooden utensils are an environmentally friendly choice if you need something disposable.  Paper straws are also a fun way to dress up an ice cold soda.  We wouldn't recommend them for your beer tho.
  • Mini chalk board signs:   If you are celebrating a milestone event like a birthday or team party, pick up a pack of mini easel chalkboards.  Write players names or good wishes for the birthday girl/boy.  Place them randomly across your serving table.
  • Menu:  There are so many great choices beyond the classic burgers and dogs.  Just about anything you throw on the grill or smoker will work.  For a twist, sloppy joes served in hot dog buns are delicious and not so sloppy.  Small food grade paper bags can be used to make individual servings of tater tots.  Fill up the copper pan with tot bags and dipping sauce.
